The Derwent 5-Slat Chair is a strong and comfortable seating option for parks, gardens, and other communal outdoor spaces. It is a simple, elegant design fits well in a variety of environments while providing practical seating for users.
The chair has a seat length of 600 mm and a seat height of 450 mm, giving comfortable dimensions for most people. It is built with a 30 x 50 mm steel frame that is zinc-primed and painted to resist rust and weathering. The seat and backrest are built from 36 mm thick PEFC-certified French oak, with optional 8 mm armrests for extra comfort. The wood is finished with a water-based stain in light oak or mahogany, keeping it protected from the weather while retaining a natural, classic look.
The Derwent 5-Slat Chair sits securely on base plates for a stable fit. In coastal areas, extra galvanised treatment is suggested to protect the steel and help the chair last longer.
